Product Design
From requirements to a complete, documented design — hardware, firmware, and mechanical — ready for prototyping.
LTR's product design service takes a product concept and translates it into a full technical design. This covers functional requirements definition, system architecture, hardware design, firmware architecture, and mechanical design — the specific scope depends on what your product requires. Every design decision is documented and justified. This is engineering-led design: the technical blueprint your prototype team, firmware engineers, and eventual contract manufacturer will build from.
- Early-stage: You have a product concept and need to define requirements and architecture before investing in prototype builds.
- Mid-stage: You have an initial design and need a structured review, architecture validation, or DFM pre-check before proceeding.
- Advisory: Your in-house team has a design in progress and needs experienced technical review at key gate points.
- Product requirements document (PRD)
- System architecture diagram
- Hardware design package — schematics, preliminary BOM
- Firmware architecture specification
- Mechanical design direction or full package (scope-dependent)
- DFM pre-check report (if required at this stage)
- Design review report with decisions recorded and traceable
A complete, documented design package — technically reviewed and ready to enter prototyping — with every major design decision recorded and traceable to a product requirement.
